Krystyl & Clark’s wedding : private residence in East Texas

When Krystyl & Clark first met with me we talked about some of their wedding plans. Never once did she truly let on about how amazing and unique this day was shaping up to be. OK, ok, I knew when we did their themed engagement session that they were up to something special but I wasn’t truly prepared for what I saw in her parents open hay field on that gorgeous summers day. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves…. the amazing-ness of the day wasn’t just confined to the ceremony and reception… oh no! The details and beauty started with the brides accessories:

And then there was the ceremony location: *SWOON*

Yes, those are actual pews, chairs, and doors set in the middle of a hay field. Beautiful doesn’t begin to cover it…

As guests entered they were invited to take a parasol and a glass of lemonade to keep them cool in the Texas summer sun.

The ceremony was full of emotion from the moment Krystyl walked in:As the sun set the lighting and available backdrops for portraits made us utterly giddy! Truly a photographers heaven…The reception details left nothing to chance. From a candy bar for guests set up in an old chest-of-drawers and impeccable mismatched china at every place setting, to the bar surrounded by what looks like a mens lounge and full living rooms set up for guests to relax in and enjoy throughout the night, the work by East Texas rental house and design company Pursuing Eden was second-to-none.The Dallas-based entertainment company A Very Special Day was hired to do lighting, DJ, video, and create for the couple a unique engagement story of how they met. They played this movie during the reception to eager guests who absolutely RAVED about it!The rest of the reception included a choreographed first dance, lots of mingling, tons of laughing, and loads of fun. We left the guests partying and dancing into the wee hours of the morning. Truly an occasion to remember…
